Whether you are a gourmet or simply enjoy good food, the Langhe and Monferrato offer endless culinary delights. The variety and excellence of local specialities are so great that it would take far more than ten recommendations to list them all.

In Roccaverano, in the Asti Langhe, you can taste the famous robiola cheese made from raw goat’s milk. Around Asti and Alba, look for torrone, made with Piedmont’s superb hazelnuts. In Canale, in the Roero, you will find the famous white-fleshed peaches, celebrated at a fair in late July. In Monferrato, you must try bagna cauda, a warm sauce made with local vegetables and salted anchovies. And then there are mixed boiled meats in Carrù and Moncalvo, Alba truffles, Casale’s krumiri biscuits, and Cherasco’s snails and chocolates.
